Cyborg Bedouins
The country is changing, so we are moving toward a future where technology is normalized, and we may become a generation of cyborgs. Will we ever become a cyborg? Is it only an addiction to perfection? Would it be normal to be a cyborg? Are we overusing technology? Are we ready for the AI wave to change our future? These collages series show the warriors cyborg in an asymmetric position, black, white printed on paper, with some abstract acrylic paint strokes . The artwork is created by Raghad Alahmad and Sultan Al-Saleh. The images run through multiple adjustments to give the artist's desired effect and show power, surrealism, and growth; the collage creates digitally and collects manually,the abstract paint gives the piece a sense of life and humanizes the collaboration The future of technology interests AlAhmad regarding the cliché topic, but for a country that just had The Saudi Data and Artificial Intelligence Authority, the artist wants to highlight it; AlAhmad says, "The aim is to pursue imagination through our story, and I found reality similar to the imagination. The artist believes technology is essential, as it's part of our body; it may help us build ourselves, strengthen our power and health, and provide human needs like love, attention, benefit exchanges, communication, and knowledge. These artworks give the impression of vintage illustrations showcasing the theory of our past emerging with present technologies. We are still new to technologies as they evolve daily into our lives, and we as individuals must keep up with these new developments to avoid being left behind. It's an endless loop of thinking and questioning whether we are going backward or forward. Together they created a narrative of our past, where we are all related, and the mysterious future.
