“In your Place of Prayer and Divine Plea, I Became Aware in The Night of Destiny”
Through her artwork “In Your Place of Prayer and Divine Plea, I Became Aware in The Night of Destiny”, the artist Raghad Al-Ahmed aims to express her personal journey through the manifestation of grief in an exploration of the inner soul.
This artwork is an invitation for visitors to seek healing through an experience of their personal meditation on prayer (Dua’a).
Bringing out the divine in the mundanity of daily life, the artist aims to elevate the human experience, drawing on the heritage of Islamic architectural design as a lifestyle, beyond the physicality of the Holy book and spaces of worship. Through this artwork Al-Ahmed wishes to relay the spiritual connection of love with the audience. Combining spiritual and contemporary art mediums defines a thoughtful demonstration focused on a strong traditional foundation without relinquishing its relationship to the modern world.
