Raghad Al-Ahmad is an experimental artist who uses multiple mediums such as collage, installation, sculpture, and digital films.
Born and raised in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia, she graduated with a degree in interior design and furniture at King Abdulaziz University in 2016.
As a designer, Al-Ahmad’s interest revolves around building installations that are influenced by major design movements and schools such as the Bauhaus*, Memphis*, and Islamic schools of design and architecture.
For Al-Ahmad, art is a medium through which she expresses and transforms her reality while simultaneously documenting it by showcasing its cultural roots, link to her identity, and religion.
She collaborates with an international brand Jean Paul Gaultier to create playing cards that represent and celebrate Saudi culture (2021)
Alahmad was part at a silent auction with Al-Mansouria Foundation held at jeddah (2020) the Foundation’s aim to support creativity in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.
She has Participated in an all-female exhibition called, Ma’an (Together - 2019), held at Madina Art Centre, Madina city, alongside established female artists like Safiya Binzagr and Manal Aldowayan.
Alahmad is a professional collage practitioner for the past four years. She engaged with people and the community for her shared college experience, “The Dada People", a concept where people enjoy learning the techniques of physical collage in a playful environment.
The Dada People has had sessions with Saudi Art Council (2017) - kids edition, Albalad, Jeddah festival (2019); and recently a collaboration with Nuqat conference, Kuwait (2019).

*Memphis Design an Italian design movement during the 1980s, focusing on mixing geometric shapes and forms with bright colors.
*Bauhaus an influential art and design movement that began in 1919 in Weimar, Germany. The movement encouraged teachers and students to pursue their crafts together in design studios and workshops.
* Mosque a place of worship for Muslims.
* Islamic architecture comprises the architectural styles of buildings associated with Islam. It encompasses both secular and religious styles from the early history of Islam to the present day.
